That Captain Canuck bit isn't quite right. It's a five episode animated web series, starring Kris Holden-Ried and Paul Amos from tv's Lost Girl. The Arne Olsen project is something else entirely. http://www.captaincanuck.com for an animated teaser.

Amy Adams looks too young to be Lois Lane... she looks like a high school student or maybe a college freshman. Especially next to Cavill.

Its not that she looks too young... she looks like Pam from the office. What is this obsession w/ the films to make Lois a brown/blonde, 'plain' (in film/Hollywood terms), and soft-featured woman? Lois is a raven-haired beauty with a hot temper... oddly enough, I think Margot Kidder was the closest they ever came to really getting the character down (though I admit I never watched Smallville). While they are a little too old and a little too much plastic surgery-late to be Lois now, Courtney Cox or Demi Moore might have been really good Lois Lanes.

Seriously? Saving kids from tornadoes? Drowning bus? Experiencing humanity? Flying around the Earth? Nothing about this says Superman?

Look at Singer's Superman as an example. It had many of the superficial elements, of the type that you mention, that people associate with Superman yet it was so wrong in all of the character elements that no one can say that Superman is actually in it. At this point its safe to say that Brian Singer just didn't/doesn't "get" Superman. Zack Snyder is walking down this same road. Just as they did for Singer, the fan "press" is ******* up to Snyder and his "vision." Once the film comes out it will likely have the action turned up- as that's what most complained was missing from Singers film but it wont have Superman in it. Eventually the fans will turn on Snyder, as they have Singer, and another Superman reboot will he asked for.
