I cannot help but be delighted by how much like Henry Cavill and how much like Superman the Superman figure looks. That thing is better-looking than most of the other Superman sculpts Mattel has done just by virtue of that face and torso sculpting.

man,finally a decent af based on a movie. mattel did a great job even though I always wondered why dc collectibles (former dc direct) never sought to hold the rights to movie franchises -could you imagine a tim burton batman from these guys?) - nonetheless, impressive stuff from mattel

I have to admit, I do like the new Superman suit - I don't like this whole "armoring" of superheroes thing lately I KNOW you want texture and stuff for high def and all that, but y'know he's bulletproof naturally, he doesn't need armor. Although I think the way they're saying it's more ceremonial - then it makes sense.

Although they certainly are mining the old Silver Age thing were the S was the "family crest".

I do like the new Zod's look though - although he needs a Van Dyke - but seriously why can't they come up with some new villans besides Luthor or Zod?

That thing Jor El is wearing looks to be what Zod will wear later on. Is it a power suit or just armor?
