Even though we live in a brave new world where Lego is releasing licensed Marvel and DC sets (and video games) at the speed of... plastic? access to official versions of their favorite superheroes has only spurred the creativity of customizers. Project Azazel, for one, has taken to Flickr to bring some of their favorite superhero movie moments to life in blissfully blocky dioramas that blend official Lego set pieces with third-party military weapons for wonderful results. PA's take on Batman Begins, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 2 and the upcoming The Wolverine make awesome use of pieces many Lego lovers likely have sitting around at home (and a bunch of others they wish they did). You can check out a few of our favorite Project Azazel Lego dioramas after the jump.

Nice use of the Minecraft-exclusive tiles! They're perfect for these tiny dioramas.
