As for Superior Spider-Man, the creative team remains the same, but the image seems to imply that Doc Ock/Spidey will be relieved of his Avengers duties, possibly for saying or doing some very non Peter Parker/Spidey things.

I'd love to check on Superior SM, but I can't stand Humberto Ramos art. To me he is the Rob Liefeld of our time.

January 09 2013 at 10:45 AM Report abuse Permalink +5 rate up rate down ReplyWhat are they firing him FOR though? Wolverine kills people, recently helped the Punisher escape the Avengers to (presumably) kill more people, blah blah blah. Spock is, to their knowledge, just Peter being a jerk at the moment, right?

What the hell is going on with Black Widow's waist in that image??
January 09 2013 at 4:39 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyHumberto Ramos is what;s going on.
Drink in the "anatomy".
Looks like piping creating the illusion of an incredibly tiny waist at first glance...y'know, that or another calculated attack on women by comics..or whatever.

Marvel: Closed!
Well I'm kind of hoping when Peter does come back, that basically he does take a real true honest break from being Spider-Man for a while. I think what I most enjoyed about the latter Amazing run is that Peter actually matured again. He was still 'youthful' but he had the job he should have had - he seemed like the logical progression of the Peter Parker that Stan Lee originally wrote - the "Science Geek", the Inventor. He was meant to have problems... sure - but he was still, at his outset a man of science. Even if he was a 'kid'.
While I do think his time as an Avenger was useful - I do think he works best as a "street level" hero than someone doing the 'big' things like the Avengers. So if he never does get back to being an Avenger - wouldn't the be the worst thing. Not to say he still can't work with them, just that he wouldn't 'be' an Avenger.
But I think it would be interesting if "Fired" meant more than being "fired" from the Avengers - what if it means the "Peter Parker" synapses were "Fired" and he's coming back... slowly.
Looks interesting. Always love me some of Humberto Ramos' art. It is fun, exaggerated and full of movement. Just as I like my comics.
