That second commercial has the production values of a Tim and Eric sketch.

October 17 2012 at 12:15 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyStill, these commercials make me more excited than the official teaser.
Also, judging by the colors on the different Superman toys, I am forced to assume that we're going to see an adaptation of the Silver Age's Superman Red and Superman Blue story. And that is awesome.
Well, they still could sorta "ruin" that Silver-Age concept.
I amm particularly thinking of the new Japanese shows based on Ultraman (or any live action Japanese series) where one "changes" into a specific look/suit for specific situations. I don't know if they will do that, but "Zod's Robot Army" strikes me as a bit odd.
Why does Zod need an army when he should be strong as Superman (assuming they will *go* in that direction and make him from Krypton). Or is this a watered down version of the recent comic book story arc where a bunch of Kryptonians landed on Earth and made their home in the Arctic but started to want to take over the Earth, but someone said, "Let's be politically correct" so instead of "people", they gave Superman robot adversaries to punch in the movie for less blood?
I know Zod's a general and should lead like one, but I dunno. I admit, I could be wrong speculating here, but like other commentors, these commercials make me more excited for the toys than the movie.
Hmm. Black Zero shuttle. And Zod looks menacing if that's suppose to be him. Cheesy commercial but potentially awesome concepts.
