After reading his origin story, I'm somewhat surprised Baz would voluntarily operate in a Justice League affiliated to the Government of USA. They haven't exactly treated him well, and in his brief appearance he didn't come across as desperate to please them just for the sake of it... Presumably it'll be like a work release programme, since he's technically still an incarcerated terrorist in their eyes (but clearly can't be held thanks to that ring), working off a sentence by operating for the government's League.

I guess it's been a pretty busy 5 years on earth. It's like earth needs a new GL every year or it's going to blow the **** up. BTW who killed Rayner's girlfriend and how exactly did all those Black Laterns return as people who never existed? Oh never mind details don't matter you are Geoff Johns just keeping going.

Don't cry racism just yet, sensitive white folks...

I HATE....
He's got the most powerful weapon in the universe on one hand, and in the other hand, he's got a gun.
This really is like the 90s all over again.
/Gun Lantern
I sincerely apologize for thinking new muslim DC character was a terrorist because his beliefs and for all those lame jokes I laughed (you know, "Osama Bin Lantern!" or "Take my money but please... DON'T SHOOT ME!"), and... Wait? Is Baz a F*CKING CAR THIEF? Ah, forget about it!

I know it's like, Geoff Johns' totes fave property, but let it go. It didn't work. Quit making them front in center of every DCU event (they've been in the spotlight for what, 5 years now?).
The movie tanked. You have about 2,379 other characters that people also like and would probably work better on screen. Move on.
I don't really know what you mean by "trying to make it happen" yeah the movie tanked but the green lantern comics are some of the most popular ones dc puts out. It has kind of been working wonders for them. I remember Blackest Night was a pretty damn huge seller for them and the main green lantern series tends to be in the top 10 each month for top selling comics.
But yeah having a popular series totally means it is not happening right?
Honestly, the Sinestro War, Blackest Night, Brightest Day... those things SAVED DC. They were good stories, too.
