It's been a year since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz kicked off
the new ongoing TMNT series at IDW. In that time the team has face down its share of threats including a mean mutant cat, the Shredder and even zombies. Though external threats are always a challenge, the series has shown that the conflicts among friends and family can be just as difficult to surmount. The drama continues August 22 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13 by Waltz, Kevin Eastman and guest artist Andy Kuhn (Firebreather
) hot off of his TMNT: Micro-Series: Michelangelo
gig. Kuhn will be on hand for issue #14 as well, which will cap an arc exploring the relationships between children and their fathers. The issue will also sport covers by Kuhn and Eastman, plus variant cover artist Valerio Schiti (Journey Into Mystery
). IDW has provided us with a first-look at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
#13, which you can check out after the jump.
