It's been a year since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz
kicked off the new ongoing TMNT series at IDW. In that time the team has face down its share of threats including a mean mutant cat, the Shredder and even zombies. Though external threats are always a challenge, the series has shown that the conflicts among friends and family can be just as difficult to surmount. The drama continues August 22 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13 by Waltz, Kevin Eastman and guest artist Andy Kuhn (
Firebreather) hot off of his
TMNT: Micro-Series: Michelangelo gig. Kuhn will be on hand for issue #14 as well, which will cap an arc exploring the relationships between children and their fathers. The issue will also sport covers by Kuhn and Eastman, plus variant cover artist Valerio Schiti (
Journey Into Mystery). IDW has provided us with a first-look at
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13, which you can check out after the jump.
