First Look: Michael Allred's Variant Cover For 'FF' #2

With the recent announcement of the Marvel NOW! initiative, and the news of some of their biggest talent taking over new books in the fall, Marvel has created quite a bit of buzz with fans. While all of the new books are getting attention, Matt Fraction and Michael Allred's upcoming FF series seems to be at or near the top of many fans lists.

To add to the excitement, Marvel has provided ComicsAlliance with the variant covers to issues 2-5 of FF, all drawn by Allred! When joined together, the covers will form one image of the full team. ComicsAlliance will be showing you one a day this week, starting with the variant for issue #2, featuring Ant-Man!

We'll have the variant cover to issue 3 for you tomorrow (and you can probably guess which team member is featured next)!

Don't know about this book but got to love the art. The costumes just seem... dunno. Like the book won't last. Especially how great the FF costume redesigns were with the white.

This book looks ridiculous... in a good way. I'm really liking Allred's stuff this past few years, it's changing, but subtly.

SO COOL! So is "FF" still considered the "Future Foundation"? Where are we at with this title?

From the looks of it, FF is just a fill in team for the Fantastic Four while they're off-world. I don't know what's happening to the Future Foundation though.

From what I've read, the kids of the future foundation are staying...that or Hickman is making them all avengers, either way I want more of the moloids kids.

This is great.
I'm not happy it's a variant though.
Variants are a terrible concept.
Mike Allred's art is great.

Yes, it's a terrible idea to encourage retailers to pick up extra copies of book so they can receive a variant . The last thing we want are books on the shelf that people might want.

If it was a 50/50 variant(or Walking Dead's bazillion #100 covers) I'd be more inclined to agree with you, but these incentive ones are great way for retailers to make a little extra cash or reward faithful customers.
