I haveall the classic Jem dolls, original from 1985, my daughter now have them!

I have 2 daughters, and I introduced my old favourites of dolls (for example JEM, smurfs, Rainbow Brite, My pet monster, Popples, etc), and like I knew it, JEM is their FAVOURITE !!! I would love to collect all dolls (a set for each my girls) but not at that price of $125 each. UNLESS... it becomes $125 (for ALL the dolls). OMG.. that is a crazy price for each doll !. In due time, I know and hope (and pray) for the dolls to make a come-back like the Smurfs did and I'll find them on the shelves at retail prices !

It's kind of like how Barbie did her as Wonder Woman and other characters. I love all the super hero Barbie as such dolls but it's just that Barbie as Wonder Woman but it's not really Wonder Woman. This new Fashion Royalty doll as JEM is just like that. Don't get me wrong I like the update and think its awesome and I'll be getting them all. The real JEM dolls were made by Hasbro back in the 1980s. If hasbro had given her a similar body and size and porportions I think I'd consider it a real JEM doll even with a new updated look.

She's in mint condition but she was removed from the box at one time. I had no idea that Hasbro was re-releasing Jem until I did a random Ebay search for Jem dolls. When I saw this doll I fell in love and bought one outright! Early b-day present. lol For those that think she looks nothing like Jem, you have to realize it's been over 20 years. Just think of it as Jem still looking fierce after some light plastic surgery. LMAO.

July 16 2012 at 9:45 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI would , in a moment, buy a whole line of Jem Dolls for my Daughter if Hasbro released this stuff at retail and at a 23 dollar price point. I can only give my daughter so many barbies. But at 125 a pop, now way. Shame, this should be Hasbros female doll line at normal retail prices. I THINK it looks wonderful and a major improvement over the old line

I heard something about new face molds were going to be used if the last line of dolls had been released back in 1988 anyway, so this is nice! And if we're talking "most requested fan looks," PLEASE tell me they'll do Stingers dolls!!

I remember it from that episode" hollywood jem"! she couldent be a better likeness! look it up haters!!
June 30 2012 at 8:07 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'm saddened that they released the new Jem as a high end collectable doll. This doesn't even look like Jem and for $125 a pop that's crazy. Bring back the Jem we know!
June 30 2012 at 8:05 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf your going to bring back Jem great! BUT that does not look like Jem! Time for a rescuplt or Hasbro do it yourself. I would like a closer resemblance to the cartoon character PLEASE!
