July 21 2012 at 5:56 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIve played with these and my son likes them-- Probably not going to be a hit with 30 yo but there is a reason is marketed for 5+ and is a toy-- not a 30.00 character reproduction-- Its for the kids mainly i think.

They are like those beans but no idea why they are collectible. Kids hopefully won't go crazy for this.
How are they "like tiddlywinks?"
Tiddlywinks are counters that you press down on to make them 'jump.'
Am I missing something or is the Invisible Woman the only female character in the whole assortment?

Essentially the toys work as collectibles, tops, stackables and top-heavy torpedoes...packed-in stunt cards, stack strips, battle dishes, stickers, "Slampolines" and special codes used to digitize the toys at the official Bonka Zonks website.
So....many....marketing...buzzwords.
These Bonkazonks are pretty cool. Kids can buy these for a few dollars and play a marbles / spin top skill game. They can also play online against their friends. These arent to be compared to an articulated action figure.

May 29 2012 at 11:15 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySeriously. Why sales of action figures have been declining for years while crap like this sells is beyond me.
May 29 2012 at 12:08 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI think a lot has to do with costs. Have you see the price of ONE action figure lately? A character from any well-known property sets you back between 8-15 bucks a pop! These things, for the same price, come with 5-10 different characters and often some sort of playset dohicky. For parents, the ratio of product to cost is better, even if the toys are kinda lame.
