Following two characteristically chilling teaser images, Warner Bros. has released the first theatrical poster for The Dark Knight Rises, the new Christopher Nolan film based on the Batman character originally created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The poster maintains the series' tradition of displaying the Batman symbol in violently whimsical ways, and you can see exactly how in the high-resolution image below
