And there came a week, a week unlike any other, when The Avengers movie opened on Friday, May 4 and every comic book fan on the internet found themselves united in talking about the same thing. In the spirit of this sensation, ComicsAlliance has tapped artist Chris Haley (Let's Be Friends Again, Captain American Idol) and colorist Daniel Butler for original art imagining alternate versions of Earth's Mightiest Heroes starring in the summer's most superhero-stocked film. Up first this week is a very special '80s take on the team, which dons Iron Man in his Silver Centurion getup, U.S. Agent, Black Widow in her gray catsuit, Hawkeye in moody armor, and classic Nick Fury in a traditional S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform. Beta Ray Bill and Hulk Hogan (wearing Hulk hands, naturally) have also dropped in to infuse even more '80s attitude into this Avengers movie poster variant.
