It is so hard to follow and keep track of the x-books. I am in the shop every Wednesday and I have no idea what's what. I can't imagine how it is for more casual fans.
But, yay Dazzler!
Shouldn't Kid Nightcrawler's reflection be a tombstone?

March 19 2012 at 10:58 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replysounds interesting in theory, but that recent Astonishing arc wasn't very exciting. not Pak's best work at all.
March 18 2012 at 4:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyLemmy Kilmiester is Wolverine?!?
SOLD!
I wonder if Marvel realizes that they now have more X-Men ongoings than they do interesting X-Men.
It's okay... they already know the formula...
Create title containing "X-(something)" or "Avengers". Add Wolverine, Wolverine-clone, Wolverine's son or Wolverine's girl-clone.
Sell.
Loved the series the first time around.. when it was called Exiles.
March 18 2012 at 3:24 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyAt least it's something different from what they're already putting out. Not sure why it requires another ongoing, though.
March 18 2012 at 2:22 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIts not really different. Its just Exiles but with X-men from different realities.
March 19 2012 at 10:21 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyisn't that what Exiles was anyway?
March 20 2012 at 12:58 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate downSo, is this Wolvie gonna end up fighting AoA Wolvie?
March 18 2012 at 5:53 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyIf Wolverine's mustache is attached to his sideburns I may have to buy the book out of sheer love of awesome facial hair.
March 18 2012 at 1:48 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyWasn't there already a series titled X-treme X-men? I think Pacheco or Larroca drew it. Anyway, nothing screams 90s like extreme. Although I do like Pak and alternate reality stories. maybe I'll grab it collected. Just the same, better title would work so much more.
March 18 2012 at 12:41 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyIt was a Claremont/Larocca run on a team led by Bishop and Storm. I really liked that book.
March 18 2012 at 9:18 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMe too - it was my favourite X-book at the time, and I loved that it was a team equally balanced with high profile/veteran characters (Storm, Rogue, Bishop, Gambit) and lesser-known/new characters (Sage, Thunderbird II, Lifeguard, Slipstream).
March 20 2012 at 8:33 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate downMy least favourite Marvel trope is that of the "alternate universe character". The only time I didn't mind it was in Exiles, since the whole plot of that series revolved around alternate universe characters and worlds - but, since this sounds like a similar take, I'll give it a go. But, really - reusing yet another old "X" title for a completely new series AND making it the 27th monthly comic to feature Wolverine? Come on...(at least the addition of the sorely underused Dazzler makes up for it a bit -- even more if this version is a Disco Dazzler in roller skates)
March 18 2012 at 12:05 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyOh, man, I *love* the alt-universe thing. Love it.
March 18 2012 at 9:19 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI actually don't mind the alt-universe thing - I like seeing different interpretations of a whole world's worth of characters, which is why I liked Exiles and hopefully will like Xtreme X-Men (II). It's when an individual alternate universe character - or even worse, alternate future timeline character - is introduced into the current MU that I don't care for. It used to be an effective, unique device, but it has become so commonplace now that it just smacks of lazy storytelling. "Oh, I really want {random character} on the team, but he's been killed off -- so I'll just create an alternate universe version of him!" or "You know what would be cool? Having ANOTHER Grey-Summers offspring from the future join the X-Men!"
