I really like the first two, and that Gundam is so moody! Blade of Immortal also has some great line work. Wow, what a versatile artist.

Wish Western publishers would have the balls to try the shonen template, Gladstone's School for World Conquerors does to some extent and it's loads of fun.
DC could easily take Batman and spin a shonen series out of it. Tim Drake joins an elite school for those with the potential to change the world, that serves as cover for Batman training a hero army. Superboy as Tim's best friend and the orphaned son of Bruce's closest friend, Stephanie as a potential love interest and trying to atone for her criminal father, Damian as the ******* rival, and other heroes filling in the classes. Those four get grouped up to train together, face rivals from HIVE, meet Nightwing, the first graduate of the school, learn about the Amazon Academy, fight the Outlaws, and slowly discover exactly what the school has been training them all for. Standard shonen trope's apply, power creep, special attacks, etc.
Off-topic, but yeah, I wish Western publishers would look to the East now and then for ideas.

A countdown of the must-read books of the year.
