Why is Mary Marvel the only one who's NOT in a super-tame pose? Isn't she the super-squeaky clean teenager?
It's kinda wierd, is all.
Great work - I love the Batgirl redesign - awesome!!! Seriously, though, where's the men?
December 28 2011 at 10:09 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyLooks like yet more exploitive cheesecake poses to me. The fact that all the characters practically have the same body type (long and thin), sport the same coquettish facial expression, and are imitating kittens rolling around on the floor should have been tell-tale clues for many.

Thanks for having something reasonable to say about why you don't like the pieces.
Now see, this right here -- a comment I endorse, this is the only complaint to have any validity. So say I, king of constantly labeling commenters trolls or not.
I am a golden (message board) god!!!
LOL, I think we're quite capable of picking up what constitutes cheesecake, thanks. We just don't need to state the obvious - or at least I thought we didn't...
December 28 2011 at 2:02 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThese are great! Really dig the nod to the Moonstone/Ghost "relationship", and the Zatanna and Batgirl costume re-designs are awesome. This begs the qestion...
Why is Zee NOT a tattooed rocker girl in The New 52?!
You people who think these are sexist or exploitive are sexually crippled. Are you serious? If these offend you why the hell do you even read comics? ALL of these characters are drawn and posed in ways that wouldn't be out of place on the stands anyway. While characters and thier exploits become somewhat real to us as we invest emotionally into their stories, at the end of the day THEY ARE NOT REAL. They are not getting ripped off by a seedy photographer and publisher to use their likenesses to sell units based on their suggestive posing. They are NOT someone's mother or daughter who would be embarrassed years down the road of their risque past ala Bettie Page. Seriously, don't you have better things to be passionate against than some guy drawing pictures of superheroines in poses (and I remind you NOT in sexually revealing clothing which puts them out of their own respective characters) that are vaguely close to pin up poses? I stand by my initial statement, if these offend you, you are too stunted to even be effective in our society and you have my pity.
