On sale in March, Daredevil #10 pits Matt Murdock against the Mole Man. Rivera's illustrated the cover in wood cut style, and you can take a look at how in the time-lapse video below.

How long do we think that took?
December 23 2011 at 9:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI never would have thought that the words "Moleman" and "poignant" would share the same space in my brain. That's great work. Also, I just caught up on the new DD series and all the praise you've heard for it is true. If you want fun superhero comics, pick it up.

December 22 2011 at 10:52 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replytim_stevenson did you even read what Owlbear said? He said the art reminded him of Gustave Doré's work, who illustrated for Paradise & Devine Comedy, which is astute. Your comment however, especially for a "Lit Major", is not.

December 23 2011 at 6:11 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate downI thought the implications that we were talking about artwork was enough. I apologise for the confusion. The misuse of words was an easy mistake.
December 24 2011 at 2:38 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate downParadise Lost was Milton; the Divine Comedy was Dante - the Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso. So same vein, but us Lit majors do care about the distinction ;) That said, freakin' awesome illustration, and the timelapse just depresses me how talented people other than me are....
December 22 2011 at 12:08 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyGustave Doré did some of the more famous artwork on them though.
Everyone knows this one:

Incredible work. I love it when artists stretch themselves and work in other styles.
December 21 2011 at 4:13 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIt reminds me a lot of Gustave Doré's stuff. I assume this is on purpose seeing as he (Doré) did a lot of work on Paradise Lost of the Divine Comedy. Fitting for Daredevil. I would say I like it, but the villain is too ridiculously looking.
