Parting Shot: Madman Party Pin-Up by Michel Fiffe Is a Cornucopia of Indie Characters
Creator Michel Fiffe recently illustrated a pin-up for the upcoming Madman 20th Anniversary Monster! hardcover (with inks from Madman creator Mike Allred) depicting a wild and crazy party chock full of creator-owned comic book characters like Milk and Cheese, Spawn, Too Much Coffee Man, Scott Pilgrim, Asterios Polyp and many, many more. Shout out your favorite cameos in the comments, and then head over to Fiffe's blog for a bigger version, process shots, and the story of how it all came together.

As usual, Mr. Monster gets the shaft. I'd love to see an Allard Mr. Monster. Nice to see Destroyer Duck, though...

December 11 2011 at 1:02 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyTop row: Spawn, Scott Pilgrim, Zot!, (zombie trucker), Concrete, The Spirit, Harvey Pekar, (Kirbyesque dude), Mr. A.
Then: Seth, (superhero couple), the leads of Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Hopey Glass, Destroyer Duck, (ant-guy), (barefoot girl), (elastic fellow), (anxious bear), (I should know this -- from Steven?), The Rocketeer, Cerebus, Flaming Carrot.
Middle stretch: Dang, I can't identify *anyone* except for Mr. X, the cops from Powers, Pim and Francie (the running kids), The Tick, Burns' El Borbah, Harlequin, and Leonardo.
Below that: Wonder Warthog(!), Madman, (his girl), (surprised cat), (skunk-hair), (Ligne-claire guy), Enid, Hellboy, the Nexus, Savage Dragon, (ligne-hair guy), Big Guy, Monkeyman & O'Brien.
AND: Jimmy Corrigan, Fone Bone, (Kim Deitchy-thing), Cheese, Gabby and Drinky, (Richard Sala girl), Milk, (bandages guy), ("K" adventurer), The Jam! (Holy crap! The Jam! I fricking love The Jam! Ahem...), the Goon, (hmm..), (afroed gentleman), (furtive girl), Hunter Rose, (Prison Pit character).
So: an Isz, Art Spiegelman, Marv, (Dave Cooper fellow), Frank, (pale child), Sof' Boy, (Lynda Barry's character - Marlys?), (Egg-thing), Ed the Happy Clown (!), (robo-knight), Errata Stigmata (!), (cosmonautish-man), (darn - I really should know one of these girls), Buddy Bradley, sister from Why I Hate Saturn.
(?) and Astrocat, (Allred-y-hero), (dang I should totally know this robot), (Umbrella Academy kid), Mr. Natural, Martha Washington, ...Lester Girls?, Reuben Flagg, (blonde woman), Kabuki?, Luba, Major Grubert, Too Much Coffee Man, Chunky Rice, Jimbo.
Crap, I'm dumb. The barefoot girl is a young Maggie (I'm used to her...rounder, now), that looks like Hanover Fiste behind El Borbah, with possibly Big Tex in front, I said Harlequin instead of Jack-In-The-Box, I forgot the three fellas behind Leonardo and the bug-man next to Warthog (who all look vaguely familiar).

December 10 2011 at 1:30 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhere's Reid Fleming, World's Toughest Milkman?
(Probably stoned out of his gourd in the corner.)
And even Scott Pilgrim, Grendel and... is that Number 5 from The Umbrella Academy? And I just looked back and now I saw The Thick, Enid from Ghost World, Uncle Gabby and Drinky Crow, and if I'm not mistaken, that might be Marv? Well, that's just something, I love this poster!
