Inspired by the felt-y work of
D. Campbell MacKinlay, ComicsAlliance set off in search of more fibrous creations. Among the finer
felt artists we found was
Justin Alan Volpe, a skilled creator of playable objects formed from a variety of media, including felt. In addition to numerous original creations, Volpe's crafted versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sensei Splinter,
Masters of the Universe characters Prince Adam and Cringer/Battle Cat, Star Wars' wookie Chewbacca and many more. Hit the jump to see a few we're especially fond of for proving, as
Volpe writes on his official website, "Art is not always just for hanging on a wall."
