Does anyone know who the guy was at NYCC2011 that dressed up at Edward Scissorhands? He was awesome!!!

October 21 2011 at 9:31 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyBethany A couple of others I got to see that I hope you at least saw if you didn't get pics of:
-A group of 8-10 people who were a gender switched combined Avengers/JLA
-The female TARDIS
-There were several Poison Ivys and Catwomen of different eras...
-Street Fighter cosplayers including a mock lobby fight of Ryu and Ken vs C.M. Punk and NWO Hulk Hogan from wrestling (my pics of it came out blurry as hell)
-Question "Renee Montoya"
-Tekken characters
-and most adorably: a literal Bat Family a Mom and Dad and their 6 children who were each a sidekick including their year old gal who was "Oracle" in her stroller...
I give it up to all these folks for their fun, courage, and inventiveness!
Wee-oo wee-oo! Watch out internet! The Body Police are here to remind that if you aren't shaped like the people in comic books, you should never leave the house or try to have fun of any kind!
Seriously. Nerdy comments are nerdy. I bet you don't look like a superhero either. Stop projecting your insecurities onto these people who are rocking it hard enough to get their pictures on one of the biggest comic websites out there.
One thing that surprised me at NYCC was just how many girls were cosplaying as Fiona from Adventure Time --it was by far one of the most popular costumes at the convention, and probably the most popular one for women.

October 18 2011 at 7:56 PM Report abuse Permalink -12 rate up rate down ReplyClearly all cosplayers should exist only for your sexual gratification.

As much as I love seeing skin tight getups, I have to say I really like the classy approach to Harley Quinn.
Lots of good work, but I'd single out Kim Possible, Plas, Batman Beyond and Superboy for really bringing their characters to life.
Two other things: that solo Joker with his hands behind his back has to be the cutest Joker ever. He's too adorable to be evil! And I would LOVE to have been there for the conversation that ended: "I know! Let's both dress up as the Red Tornadoes!"
Lumpy Space Princess and Kim Possible are my favorites from this bunch.
