New Set Photos And Stills From 'The Avengers' Movie Assemble

You want to see new images from The Avengers movie? Look no further than Entertainment Weekly, which will sport Joss Whedon's assembled cast of Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremey Renner (Hawkeye) and Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner) on the cover of its October issue starting tomorrow. Even better, the mag will contain shots of the team in action (and a state of relaxation) with director Joss Whedon on the film's Albuquerque set. Check out EW's images after the cut as you prepare yourself for the film's May 4 release date.

Kind of pisses me off that Black Widow is on center when Cap should be top billing. Who the hell calls the Avengers to assemble??

It is a crime that Ant-man and the Wasp aren't in this movie. Not only are they charter members, they would make for impressive visuals as well.
Also, the idea of a "superhero couple" would be an interesting dynamic to throw in the mix.
Oh well! At least I can hope for an easter egg.

God, that Entertainment Weekly cover is just the worst thing ever. Are magazine covers now assembled in five minutes by an intern with Photoshop? Didn't those used to be, like, important to selling the magazine?
