A lot of DC white knights in the comments section for this! Oh comics. For many fanboys, pointing out glaring flaws in their precious DC/Marvel comics is like insulting their religion.
Some people are calling hypocrisy on Eric Canete because he's drawn naked lady demons before, and that's bs. You don't have to have a spotless record to have an opinion. If that were the case, then the guy who makes Family Circus would be the only one allowed to have an opinion, and I don't want his. Anyway, Santanika isn't targeted at a wide audience where as Catwoman is. I don't think the people who made Santanika were making grand claims about bringing in a "new readers" either.
Lastly, If they aren't having sex in that comic, then they are grinding each other like inexperienced teenagers. That might actually be creepier! If they were going to draw them going at it, they could of at least made it look good. That foreshortening is effed!

Take a real close look at the original pages. Don't worry, they're on the Internet. There is no frakkin' way they are actually having sex on that last page unless they both have some secret hidden holes in their costumes for just such an occasion. Catwoman's narration says it's not the first time, so maybe they are prepared for costume sex. The zipper on her costume does not go down that far and he has no zipper. "on-camera sex" indeed.

Come on, Canete. Calling out other creators for having to pander is like Usain Bolt calling out us normal people for needing wheels to keep up with him.

You took a character whose best known run was done by Ed Brubaker (writer of one of the most acclaimed writers on the market right now) and Darwin Cooke (who, well, yeah, amazing), stick a C-list writer who makes half of fandom groan (not like Bruce in the infamous panel, but the bad way) on the relaunch, add in a degrading sex scene, and call it a step forward!? And, in all of that, it also effectively took one of the best parts of Hush - a book loved by fans and critics - and ripped it out of continuity.
This is offensive on its own, but prior to the relaunch it would have been easier to shrug off as more of the same crap. The same crap marketed as shiny new crap, though, just seems far more offensive.
I watched the latest Fresh Ink. Blair B. describes the cover of Catwoman #1 as offensive because Selina dropping jewels on her chest can be viewed as "the finish" to a certain sexual act. Now, if she never points this out I wouldn't think anything of it. Blair sees the cover as salacious, instead I see it as someone enjoying the spoils of her labor.

In the panels it took to show Bruce and Selina do it, you could have quickly got caught up on their relationship. But no, we just know they're FBs.

Concentrating in just a couple of panels is an oversimplification and this is starting to annoy me.
Actually, if it wasn't for CA's article I wouldn't have read Catwoman at all. I'll probably go for the next issue too.

. . . your point? Seriously, I would like to know the argument you're making. About half of those are about goofy sexy parodies. One is about how sex in comics can be done well.
If you're trying to show that Comics Alliance is, itself, sexually objectifying people . . . these are not 100% damning examples.

If we don't criticize crap like this DC and other publishers will keep churning it out year after year. What's worse? The issue is this: Red Hood had Starfire in a sexually provocative position, something that dissapointed and offended the CA staff in regards to the character. They also thought that the intro to Catwoman (the one in the dominatrix outfit with the whip) was a sexist portrayal of the character. Well, more sexist than usual. Also, the on-screen Bathumping which I agree was degrading not just to Catwoman, but to both the characters.
But this past week there have been at least 5 articles on the issue, and as someone else pointed out, there are multiple unrelated articles that link to one or more of those five articles.
I actually found this parody more offensive than the original Catwoman issue that inspired it. I guess if it's funny it's not sexist? That's to say nothing of the other article where a seven year old girl was shown the article and coaxed into explaining why she didn't like it. So, "exploiting a fictional character for sexual purposes" > than "exploiting children for blog hits."
But that's neither here nor there. The main problem with the whole thing is that there are plenty of other things worth reporting on than two of the shittier issues in the DC Reboot.
Eh, I think this is far more important than yet another article about leaked photos from the set of Batman Rises.

There are a lot of sexist things, like the selective framing and her being half-naked throughout the comic, but the fact that she had sex is not sexist. I think the sex scene was weird, somewhat out of place, and kinda gross, and it can be argued that the scene shouldn't be in a non mature readers comic. But I think people should get over something like this that is sexist, but not that different from lots of other current comics, films and television programs, and focus on the truly egregious Red Hood issue, and being happy about all the positive portrayals of women in all media and especially in this relaunch, and supporting those things. Why can't we talk about things like how Wonder Woman is awesome now, and that Demon Knights brings back Shining Knight, one of my favorite female characters, and Madame Xanadu is on two teams. I think there is a lot to be excited about, so why not celebrate the good?
