Marvel Assembles Full Concept Art Poster For 'The Avengers' Movie [Comic-Con]

With Comic-Con 2011 in the rear view mirror, the countdown for The Avengers' May 4 release date is officially on. Marvel released a number of promotional images and items at the the show teasing the film, but the holy grail has to be the fully-revealed team spread created by Co-Visual Development Supervisors for Marvel Studios, Ryan Meinerding and Charlie Wen that spotlights Black Widow, Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Agent Coulson and none other than the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. See the full image after the jump, along with each character's individual piece.

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers stars Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow), Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill). See Meinerding and Wen's full take on the team below.

I know I'll offend here, but Hawkeye's costume for this poster, and especially as he hasn't had any real face time on screen, is more of a "I'm SHIELD's Archer" look and less of a Super hero look.
Smallville's Green Arrow had a better look as a super hero suit htan Hawkeye and that ain't saying much.

I kinda prefer Cap's bucket helmet with chin strap over his Avenger's headpiece. It's just more aesthetically pleasing, even if his neck is exposed.

I agree with hickspy about hawkeyes introduction. and of cours it is a fact. but i also agree with zachary he meaning hawkeye does need some updated color to fit in just a little bit more. has anyone asked about three members of the avengers wasp, her husband and VISION. AKA WONDERMAN??!!? i mean what the hell why didnt the director add them to the mix. if not was or her husband then damn add more power by adding wonderman. does anyone agree with me on this? not bashing the film that has yet to see the screen or trailer. but come on.

Ant-Man's getting his own movie, written by Edgar Wright who did Hot Fuzz. Most people are assuming he'll be in the sequel. The Wasp is going to be introduced then, if at all.

And grow up. Wonderman's a terrible excuse for a character. He's a two dimensional superhero parody, a summary and perfect example of everything I hate in comics. He would suck on screen.
But maybe I'm wrong. Name one decent Wonderman storyline. I dare you.

Zachary, I kinda disagree with you. Although Hakeye was flashy in the comics, he was introduced as being a member of Agent Coulson's team . As a S.H.I.E.L.D agaent, he wouldn't be wearling anything flashy. Just my opinion.

His costume looks fine for a sheild agent. It fits in with Fury's people and the widow. It just looks really out of place IMO next to the bright colorful superhero looks of Cap, Iron Man, Hulk and Thor. Next to all that bright superhero color a bit more purple would have made him fit more as a member of the superhero team and less as a member of the Sheild supporting cast.

Though who knows that may really be his role in this. More Shield than Super. We'll see.

I know it's been said before but Hawkeye really needs a bit more color and flash to him if he's gonna look right with Cap and company. He just looks way too understated and realistic to fit in with a group that colorful and superhero-ish.
