TellTale Games has released its first official screen shot from its upcoming videogame based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard's The Walking Dead. The new screen shot expands on concept art that debuted in June, giving fans their first real look at the game's all-new protagonists, an involuntarily escaped prisoner Lee Everett and a seven-year-old girl named Clementine.

The new screen shot is a bit of a departure from TellTale's slightly cartoony style sported in its Back to the Future episodes and other titles like Puzzle Agent and the recent Puzzle Agent 2. Considering the game will serve as something of a parallel narrative to the comic book's early tales, the boost in realism should gel nicely with both the comic book and AMC's TWD series.

TellTale's first The Walking Dead videogame chapter still doesn't have a firm release date, but could arrive by the end of 2011 on most major videogame platforms.
