So many of us associate lovable actor Sean Astin with Samwise Gamgee of "The Lord of the Rings" fame, that we forget he was the lead child actor in '80s classic "The Goonies." Remember his adorable ...
This weekend, countless fans descended upon the Big Apple for New York Comic-Con. (It's very similar to its west coast counterpart, the San Diego International Comic-Con, save for a 1000% increase in ...

Conan should really keep at least that absolutely beautiful LEGO statue on his set somewhere prominent. Life size and perfectly proportioned. Even the cape made of LEGOs looks great. The other pieces could easily hang on a wall near the band maybe.
I've loved the appearances in Young Justice, and a single short cartoon could be great. The character himself has nothing to do with whether or not the animation would be funny. That rests entirely on the writing team, and I think Conan's writers could do something great with one episode. If he still has access to Robert Smigle, cartoon comedy is his specialty, and he does it better than anyone.
The art is being sent back to the artists. I'm sure if they wanted to they could obviously make a print for themselves.
Personally I'd be honored to get a photo of him standing next the piece I worked on.
Hey guys,
BTW The Conan folks mislabeled the Coco Comics #1 piece.
It Should be:

Colors and Design by Manny Cartoon.
Thanks for showing it though. It means a ton to see it on here!
All fixed. Thank you for giving us a gentle nudge.

I just felt back for my collaborator.
It was something we came up with together and I'd like to get him credit whenever I can.
Those comic cover parodies are good, but at this point I don't think the Flaming C is funny or clever. Conan fans have a meme, and they're perpetuating it.

July 24 2011 at 4:11 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNot to be rude but just to let you know most of the FC pieces were created a few months ago (when the shorts first started coming out) at least ours was (Coco Comics 1).
They just decided to do something with them now and I couldn't be prouder.
You raise a good point, Manny. Your stuff is great, and I didn't mean to denigrate it. I'm only bothered by the trailer that came out at Comic-Con; it shows that the machinery is in motion to create an animated short or feature which just won't be funny, and Conan's name will be aattached. As a comedy fan (although I am not myself hilarious), I don't want to see that happen.
