The new costume looks Slicker, Newer, and more High-tech than the crappy Raimi Spider-man costume. He made it look like a 5th grader made it for show-and-tell. in all, the new movie is gonna be a HELLUVA LOT BETTER, the old spider-man movie didn't follow the REAL STORY very much.

It's hilarious that people keep saying "a high-schooler couldn't make that costume." So all you critics out there, He's a Genius, Period. He made the web shooter contraption, SO HE CAN VERY WELL MAKE A DAMN COSTUME. So find a logical argument, Cause you lost this one.

i love how people keep saying how it's not realistic, because a high school student couldn't make the costume..........WHO GIVES A DAMN?! it doesn't look any less realistic than the costume in the other movies... and even still, WHO CARES?! it's a comic book hero! it doesn't have to be realistic! of course you know, he swings from a ******* web across buildings in new york.....that's totallly believable. anyway, i'll probably watch it, i think it looks pretty good

Many commenters have noted how the suit doesn't look like something a high-schooler could build, but to me it looks more like a ridged, rubbery wetsuit that was bought and hastily spray-painted. In the first picture, the red section looks like an uneven layer of paint. Also, in the crouching picture the foot and shoulder look blotchy. Then again, it could just be battle damage or something.

I am glad that they went to the classic web-shooters, but they forgot to ditch the shoes when wall-crawling. Stan Lee's Spidey had to wear no more than socks when he was in civilian clothes.
