Probably one of the best Spidey stories not written by a Marvel writer. That is some real talent there, I like the artwork, would love to see it colored and properly inked too. I'm sure Marvel/Disney would have a cow if you were to publish it without their okiedokie but man oh man that needs to be sent to TPTB at Marvel once it's done.
Especially with Captain America coming out soon, a war themed Spider-Man story is a good bet now too. And I like the way it pretty much plays out an unflinching look at 'Nam. Come to think of it, didn't Stan Lee write something where Peter like narrowly missed the draft?
I seem to remember reading about that somewhere, yeah. Apparently they thought about sending Spidey to 'Nam. My first reaction to the idea was that it was ludicrous, but seeing this has made me think otherwise, it would've been an amazing direction for them to take at the time, especially since continuity wasn't so set and the change wouldn't necessarily have snapped back when the writer changed.
