What annoys me to no end is the fact that Magritte (to whom this is clearly a reference) was Belgian, not French.

Magritte certainly didn't title all of his works in French, nor was he from a Francophone region of Belgium. Not at all.

Bilal is from Arabic descent yet is colored clearly as someone from caucasian descent. It's not unlike the XS coloring error shown recently in the Flashpoint preview pages.

(And, yes, Arabs are the dominant ethnicity in Algeria. Even though it's in Africa! Shocking, I know, but these things happen.)
