I thought that this was missing just a few things, so I fixed it. Enjoy!

Although this is humorous, I at the same time found it kinda sad.
Regardless of whether you believe that Bruce became Batman once he lost his parents, or once the bat crashed through his drawing room window on that night fateful night, or when he first put on the mask...the sad truth is that he had to lose both of his parents first.

This piece of artwork is brilliant. Thanks for sharing Fearless Leader :D

Also, I find it interesting that Clark lost his whole race (almost) and yet there is almost never the same sense of tragedy tied to Superman's mythos...food for thought.

I think that's because Kal was indoctrinated without memory of being alien. That's why I see Manhunter as a better representative of the immigrant mold that people hold Superman to be, because J'onn is coming from another place and culture and grapples with fitting in and not being an ideal image.

The loss of Krypton is something I think we the viewers feel more a la the S:TAS premiere episode, seeing what Clark forgot growing up. What brings Clark closer to Bruce is the loss of an adopted parent, like the death of Jonathan in S:TM that humbled him as opposed to the Waynes that empowered Bruce.

I'm kinda proud of myself in a way that I had to look at it all twice before I noticed there was anything different about the 1st three images... My `liberal-ness' seems to be over-riding my spacial/visual recognition.

That wasn't your 'liberal-ness.' I made the same mistake. Its the way the images are designed.

I wonder if that circle is being "The Circle we all need, and not the circle we all want it to be."

I was expecting a picture of batman, in his batman costume, surrounded by a bunch of robins, batgirls, nightwing, batmans and batwomen.

This should be on the wall of every kid who has an abusive parent, who is in a bad situation, who doesn't have a solid parental role model. YOU ARE BATMAN.
