So you know what happened to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when they started off dark and muscly in Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's comics but got colorful and smiley for their Saturday morning cartoon series? Pretty much the exact opposite thing has happened to Muppets and Sesame Street characters in Rhys Cooper's artwork.

You'll find some of what he can do over on his Studio Seppuku website, and he's capable of quite a bit. He's taken Animal, Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster, and poured his own mix of artistic mutagen all over them to make some some beastly portraits straight out of the Muppet Mirrorverse.

Oh, and that Ninja Turtle comparison I made before? He's drawn them as well, and they've never looked better. In fact, he seems skilled at tackling about anything that Jim Henson's people have ever touched. Have a look for yourself below and enjoy the madness.
