
In our recent interview with game writer and longtime Marvel scribe Dan Slott, we found out that the game would have a slightly different story with some different villains. Joystiq's preview solidifies that info with a peek at Spider-Man punching out a few familiar (and some new) baddies in his Amazing, Noir and 2099 universes.
As a fan of handheld games, Joystiq's insights are pretty encouraging even if they're realistic about its graphical limitations. What's nicest to see for hardcore Spider-Fans, perhaps, is that the title acts independently enough of its more high-powered counterpart to make it worth a purchase come September 7. Now if only it had followed the lead of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold The Videogame" and included some Wii/DS interconnectivity features...
