'Fullmetal Alchemist' Movie to Follow 'Brotherhood' Conclusion
After 64 episodes, "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" saw its finale on Sunday in Japan. But just as the series' earlier anime adaptation was followed by a feature-length conclusion in "Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa," so too will "Brotherhood" be capped with an animated movie.
According to Temple Knights, Sunday's episode of FMA:B ended with an announcement that production on an as-yet-unnamed theatrical film had been green-lit. There's no word on the plot of the new film, which should be all-new given that the 64th episode of "Brotherhood" reportedly synched up with the conclusion of Hiromu Arakawa's manga series.

FMA:Bro has gone to the depths of the alchemists world and back again, from paying a price for the knowledge you seek to opening the door to God itself. If a movie is to surface, many things could make a reappearance here, unlike in FMA:CoS where the ending leaves with more possibilities, this ending for FMA:Bro could be where one door closes but another mistake could easily reopen again. Some people learn lessons the hard way, and... repeatedly might I add... the imagination of one person can never be enough to top a masterpiece like this story. So as a true fan, give the creators time to create, like always... things like this are worth the patience and preparation...

I think if a movie does happen it's probably just gonna be a rehash of the events of the series (like a summation or something). I only say this because I don't see anything they could actually do with the characters that hasn't been done. The story is pretty much finished.

Not if you have an imagination. It could talk about Ed and Winry's marriage or how life is in the military when Roy becomes Furher...or someone else has become Furher, so maybe the movie's about Roy (I doubt it) or does Ed rejoin the military? it could be that many harsh things come up while Ed's a State Alchemist again, and divorce? That's just three possible plots, my friend. Broaden your imagination.

Pheeeew I really hope there will be a movie...wouldn´t it be a kind of unfairly if the Brotherhood episodes end and there won´t be movie? finally the "unreal" episodes of fma had the shambala mocie :(
