25-year-old cartoonist
Lucy Knisley was recently asked what she wants to be when she grows up by a stranger at a train station, only to be informed by the gentleman -- whose son does merchandise design for Marvel -- that
cartooning is a man's game, and that she should aspire to other vocations. Yes, for realsies. Knisley, whose
awesome work is a constant treat in our RSS feed, incidentally had an adorable story about Doc Ock published this very week in Marvel's "
Girl Comics" anthology comic.
If it's any comfort, Lucy, you'll always be our King of Pies.
