I don't know, that scene where Catwoman gives Prometheus some much needed humility was probably THE best part of the Morrison JLA run.
That and Tulip O'Hare is probably one of the best female character in comics within the last 15 years.
It's a shame that CA's Girl Week didn't really get involved in the discussion of feminism in comics, just danced around it. The 'Best and worst women in comics' was alright, but there was a lot more to say about the need to introduce rape as a 'character development', the 'hapless maiden' syndrome, etc....
Could probably have just done "Top 10 reasons why feminism needs to conquer comics" and just done 5 arbitrary rape-retcons and 5 skimpy skimpy costumes.
The 'girl kicks guy in the nads' IS cathartic everytime I come across a 'get me a sandwich' joke. Or a RL woman crying because of some impossible situation her beloved man has her in. So I'd say you're far too into political correctness to appreciate this.
But hell yeah, I'd love to see a dozen or so panels of Awesome Female Moments. Sort of "We would have words with thee, Ultron" style.
When a swift kick to the groin is the most common means for the expression of feminism, the term takes on some strange fetishist connotations.
Secondary caveat: Where was Carol Danvers this week? Like, at all?
It is a simple and universal truth that guys getting kicked in the nuts is funny. Deal with it.

Don't know the issue.
The girl scout image is from near the end of Garth Ennis' Marvel Knights Punisher run.

So, y'know, whatever.
Calling this "a celebration of feminism" comes off as defining "feminism" as "man-bashing" (literally, in this case). Which is not true; plus, this particular untruth just happens to be one of the most popular methods of undermining feminism.
I agree with the person who would rather see women punching people (of any gender, thanks) in the face, or being badass in a myriad of other ways.
While I see your points, I also want to point out: comedy. Taking a common antifeminist complaint and yet seeing it work in the comics, and to good effect.
Feminism is serious business. However, it's a poor zealot who can't take a step back and laugh just a tiny bit at themselves. I suspect that's all they're trying to do here.
In reply to Mark: It's also a common defense to say "what's the matter, can't take a joke?" when the "joke" in question is just more of the same old crap.
