With "Devil," Dark Horse is doing something that other companies have tried with varying degrees of success: Producing an original English language manga for an American market and releasing it as full-color single issues rather than in the more familiar manga style of a multi-chapter graphic novel.

Aside from the differences in format (Like American comics, it reads left-to-right), it's clear that they've gone to great lengths to provide the authentic manga experience, not just in art and lettering, but in capturing the aesthetics of stuff like "MPD Psycho" or "Gantz."

And by that we mean that this is a comic where women explode when they are raped by vampires:
