Realistically, it seems like this would do a pretty haphazard job of deflecting the rain on a cold, wet night in Gotham City, but that seems like a small price to pay for an umbrella this awesome. And besides, I'd probably spend a lot more time thrusting it at people and making proclamations about how I am, in fact, the night than I would actually trying to keep the rain off.

And why would it be impractical? I would love to have something like this to keep my backpack dry. I know I can dry off, but my computer - well its just too important and a normal Umbrella puts way too much importance on everything.

im pretty sure this is home made and not avialable in stores. buy a black umbrella and modify it yourself, it shouldnt be too difficult. in fact, you could make it better by defining the shape more. it would keep off even less rain, but be more true to the bat symbol and look even cooler. a little sew job and some clippers to shorten the metal rods at the head part and VOILA! use tape to create the shape first leaving a little extra length to be folded/sewed back, sew edges and clip metal rods where needed. enjoy..... tho probably not too enjoyable in the rain

I agree with Swerl, it looks like a pretty easy modification on a standard black umbrella. But I think all the guys off "Big Bang Theory" would have one each so I will try it make one myself. ... It IS pretty cool though, Dorky but cool, I gave up trying to be more cool than dork a LOOONG time ago.
