Super heroes aren't exactly ones to indulge in adult beverage these days. In fact, the ones that do tend to serve more as cautionary tales than revelers. Still, for many mere mortals in the proper setting (i.e. not fighting crime) the less sober side of life is something to be celebrated...in moderation of course (again, while not fighting crime).Mixed drinks go by many names, some of them classy and many of them tacky. Somewhere in that divide, comic book icons were commandeered by a likely wobbly-kneed public to serve as shorthand for concoctions worthy of strangers who would don underwear outside of their clothes to battle injustice.
But what does a "Spider-Man" consist of? What kind of brew is worthy of a mutant who is the best he is at what he does? Google knew, and now, after reading this, you and anyone you drink with will too.
Make that sweet Internet jump to discover cocktail recipes inspired by super powered heroes who may or may not theoretically condone having mixed hooch named in their honor...

Woof. David said it.
I'm also not sure I can get down with that Incredible Hulk. My buddy Ruben used to make a different version of the Hulk drink that I think might go down a bit more smoothly:

I once came up with some Watchmen cocktails; the Dr. Manhattan was basically Bombay Sapphire and white vermouth; Rorschach was Bacardi and milk with black bobas.

Bombay and vermouth is a gin martini, I don't think you invented this one.

But Bombay Sapphire isn't blue! It just has a blue bottle. When you pour it, it's plain ol' clear like other gins.

I am all for combining my twin loves of comics and drinking (kidding! Sort of!) but other than the Iron Man one, a lot of these sound like my drink mixing philosophy from my college days -- take non-alcohol beverage and mix with alcoholic beverage and consume (the first Incredible Hulk one especially). I would love to see some classy and tasty comic-inspired cocktails. I'm not sure what they would be, but I'm pretty sure they don't involve Pop Rocks.
Fun stuff anyway.

There is also a Superman shooter.
1/2 oz. Hpnotiq Liqueur
1/2 oz. Alize Red Liqueur
Fill the shot glass 1/2 way with Hpnotiq, then slowly pour the Alize down the side of the shot glass and it will float on top of the Hpnotiq. It is called a 'Superman' because of the 2 colors, and it tastes delicious.

The Dr. Manhattan:
It's a basic Manhattan cocktail, but you switch out the Sweet Vermouth for Blue Curacao!
1.5 oz Rye Whiskey
1 oz Blue Curacao
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Serve in a Martini glass. Preferably one created out of raw Martian sand using your powers of atomic manipulation.
