Game developer Rocksteady and Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment have been relatively mysterious about the upcoming sequel to the popular Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City games, but fans can at least get seeming confirmation that the new game will be out sometime later this year. The news comes via a transcript of Time Warner's quarterly earning results call, wherein CFO John K. Martin mentioned the upcoming game to emphasize the strength of Warner's brands in 2013.

"And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012." said Martin.

The title still hasn't been revealed yet, although you can take a guess that it will be one of the 14 domain names that Warner Brothers bought in January. Beyond that, the only other information released so far is that the title will likely take place in the Silver-Age, and feature the first appearance of the Joker and cameos from the Justice League
