Don't Ask! Just Buy It! - March 30, 2011: The Septuagenarian Captain (ComicsAlliance)

Mar 29th 12:30 PM: I think Action #899 is actually the final chapter of the storyline; #900 is the beginning of the Doomsday tie-ins (ugh).

Don't Ask! Just Buy It! - December 29, 2010: David Finch Sings the Year Out (ComicsAlliance)

Dec 28th 2:06 PM: "the not-particularly-successful movie"

Artistically or commercially? For the latter, while it had a budget of $58mil, it's now up to $162mil worldwide ($88mil domestic alone) and that's before DVD sales. I'd say it's done rather well for itself.

'The Wire' Character Gallery by Dennis Culver Is All in the Game [Art] (ComicsAlliance)

Oct 15th 1:31 PM: While I'm not saying that Dennis Culver was ever a bad artist (he wasn't!), I do find it amazing how much he's improved his craft over the past few years. These are just fantastic, and I hope David Simon is watching. Just top notch stuff here.

Dramatically Different 'Absolute Sandman' Recoloring is Absolutely Necessary (ComicsAlliance)

Sep 23rd 11:38 AM: "Using technology that didn't exist when they were originally created, the first 18 issues of "The Sandman" were completely recolored for the Absolute edition, many by original colorist Danny Vozzo."

One slight clarification -- while Danny Vozzo was a colorist on "The Sandman" he didn't color the first 18 issues. Those were colored by Robbie Busch (who went on to work on Instant Piano w/ Evan Dorkin, Kyle Baker, Mark Badger, and Stephen DeStefano). Steve Oliff came on board for a few issues after that (#19-22 if my memory serves), and then Vozzo took over after Oliff's brief stint was over and took care of the rest of the series.

Roundtable Review: Wednesday Comics Hardcover, Part 2 (ComicsAlliance)

Jun 4th 8:29 PM: "Chris S: There's still a misplaced apostrophe in here. I will say, though: This is one of the biggest surprises in the book for me. I think its' fair to say that JLGL and Nowlan carried it, but I thought it was a hoot."

*wince*

Unfortunately, right after mentioning the misplaced apostrophe, you ended up with the same thing, you know. (I wouldn't mention it if it wasn't for the whole glass houses old chestnut.) There's no such word as its', of course.
