'Supernatural' Season 6, Episode 4 Recap (AOL TV)
Oct 18th 8:45 AM: I think Sam's comment to Dean about honoring Bobby's arrangement with Crowley was significant. I suspect Sam himself has made a deal with SOMEONE, if not a demon, than perhaps an angel. It might explain why he's acting so oddly now.
I think Jody and Bobby would make an excellent couple. She knows all about him and still likes him, and I suspect that, like Rufus, would go out of her way to help him bury a body!
There was so much wonderful comedy in this episode, dark, light and in-between, I had tears in my eyes. I was laughing when Bobby and the gal next door had blood all over them and he still thought she might want to have dinner together. Poor Bobby, story of his life indeed!
As for the scenes with Crowley, howlers all! I do think the demon didn't want to give him back his soul because he wanted to see how far Bobby would go to get it back, and Bobby didn't disappoint. I was also fascinated by the way Bobby worked over the pretty demon in the basement, and killed her despite his promise! Man, Cas could learn a few things about torture from our Mr. Singer!
I had no quibble with this episode, except there wasn't enough Sam and Dean for me. Then again, I wasn't expecting much and knew that head of time. How about BOBBY 'N' RUFUS, DEMON HUNTERS? I smell spin-off, and I would definitely tune in!

Jane After Dark: 'Supernatural' is Approaching 'Buffy' Territory (AOL TV)
Feb 22nd 11:36 AM: Yes, Jane, you have it right--SUPERNATURAL is a real treat, no matter what season you're digging into. I've watched since the Pilot, and have enjoyed every episode since with lip-smacking goodness! The boys break rules everywhere they go, and it only gets worse! I love the car, the seedy hotels, the wonderful classic tunes (which we lose as time goes by because their budget is cut and the music is the first thing to go), and of course, the Winchester brothers themselves, the heart of SUPERNATURAL. This IS a show about family, mostly about these scrappy brothers who love each other more than anything and who will sacrifice everything to keep the other alive. It's often heartbreaking to watch, but the payoff is always breathtaking. Long may SUPERNATURAL reign! Love, Robin, Editor, SUPERNATURAL, www.moogi.com
Jim Beaver Shares What to Do When Life's That Way (ParentDish)
Jun 15th 4:28 PM: I have had the pleasure of meeting Jim Beaver and speaking with him; he's the most eloquent, funny and delightful man! I read LIFE'S THAT WAY and consider it one of the best books I have ever read, not so much about cancer or dying, but about the richness of LIVING. I think Jim's book should be required reading for everyone!
