Three years ago I got so excited by Hasbro's Spider-Spud and Tony Starch Mr. Potato Head figures that I imagined an entire line of tuber-themed Avengers via incredibly crude Photoshops. Fortunately for all of humankind, this summer the pros at PPW Toys will release official Potato Head versions of Marvel heroes Iron Man, Wolverine and Thor aimed at collectors that go above and beyond what I'd imagined. Those who already own the original Tony Starch needn't worry about doubling up, either, as the new line is all new and includes sculpts and accessories unique to each character such as Thor's hammer Mjolnir, Wolverine's claws and Iron Man's repulsors. You can check out early promo images of the toys after the cut, and we'll do our best to snag some shots of the toys in the plastic flesh during Toy Fair in a few weeks.
