Ahead of its release at the end of this month, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the first clip from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2, the animated adaptation of Frank Miller's much-loved Batman classic. Ready for a minute of Bat-violence?

The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 completes the story started in last September's first installment, with Peter Weller and Ariel Winter return as the voices of Batman and Carrie Kelly respectively, and Lost's Michael Emerson joining the voice cast as the Joker. The movie will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as being made available for Video on Demand and download, on January 29.

Gotham Police must go to the Storm Trooper or Foot Soldier academy of henchmenning. They can't hit a point blank target drenched in a floodlight. And they patiently wait in line to be punched in the face.

I love the idea of thees cartoon movies that use great DC comics as scripts but when I watch them I am disappointed because they don't improve on the source material. They do a pretty good job but the smooth animation look isn't as intense as a still image by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson.

On the special features of Part One of the producers were saying they'd like people to consider YEAR ONE, DK pt.1 and DK pt. 2 a big trilogy worthy of a marathon. Too bad YEAR ONE had Anakin-Batman and DK has a Gordon that sounds like General Treister on Venture Bros.
