One of my favorite cartoonists of the last couple of years, Mike Maihack once said he was done writing and drawing what are manifestly the cutest Supergirl and Batgirl team-up comic strips of all time, citing some kind of strange desire to work on "his own projects" that have, like, "true personal significance" and provide him with a sense of "creative and professional accomplishment" or whatever. And while, yeah, it's true that his comic Cleopatra in Space and contributions to Archaia's Jim Henson's The Storyteller and Image's Tori Amos' Comic Book Tattoo are really, really good, not even Maihack could resist the call of Supergirl in an adorable winter costume variant.
