In the pages of most Marvel comics, Hawkeye tends to draw arrows from a bottomless quiver, which furnishes everything he needs until the plot demands otherwise. For those rare occasions that the Avengers' resident archer does run out of ammo, the Captain America trained fighter is usually resourceful enough to improvise projectiles or fall back on melee techniques. We say "usually," because, as seen on last night's Saturday Night Live (hosted by none other than The Avengers movie Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner), sometimes the guy comes up short.
