Potential 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Movie Sequel Spoilers Arrive Online

As long as Andrew Garfield stays I’m fine with whom ever else they want to kill off because that man holds the key. His ability to play Peter Parker is inventive and beautiful, and I don’t believe the leading lady will make any difference from the performances I’ve seen him in previously. My friend and coworker from DISH also admirers the talents of Andrew Garfield, especially in this role. She’s having a girl’s night tomorrow night to see The Amazing Spider-man, which I don’t want to miss, but I’m out of town helping my Mom right now who has some health problems. I have my laptop with me for work so I can easily access DISH Online and rent The Amazing Spider-man to my Mom’s Hopper from DISH and still enjoy the movie with the gals even though I’m away from home. I’m looking forward to the discussion that will take place when I return home.

Hm, I hope not. I was hoping the next film could introduce Harry Osborne. One more movie with Gwen before they do one that follows THAT storyline. But, oh well. Either way they go, I'm certain they'll do it well. Amazing Spiderman was the best upbeat superhero movie I've seen in ages.

Wasn't the big deal about Gwen's death was that the reader was completely blindsided by the murder of an established supporting character? I know its comics 'cannon' and all, but replacing the shock/suddenness of her death with confirmation of her death a year-ish out from the release seems to not only undercut the impact of her death, but also the suspense of her 'possible' fate in the movie. IDK, I guess it's that delicate balance between cannon and creativity.

I think Gwen's death in the second film would make sense, it is pretty much law that the second in a [good] trilogy is the dark one. I'd rather see that happen then they keep hold of her and ruin the character. I'd love to see Mary-Jane in the next film! Osborne would be good too, I really want to see how they'd do Green Goblin.
I don't think that girl look remotly like a Mary-Jane but then niether did Kirsten Dunst so I guess it could work.

Honestly, I'm a little glad that Emma Stones Gwen Stacy is going to follow the tragedy arc. See, I LOVE that character and how they play her and Emma kills it in my opinion. The entire time I watch her on screen I'm thinking "I really dont want her to die". And thats the point. The death of Gwen Stacy is going to hit the audience as hard as it's going to hit Peter. I can see the scene in my head already. Slow motion fall, the dive, the web, and then return to full speed as the special effects team shows her neck snap from the whip lash for the shock of it. I know it's coming and I just KNOW that wont matter in it's effect.

I hope "particularly tragic thread" was supposed to be a pun, because *I* laughed.

I still think the sequel should be called "Spectacular Spider-Man" and the 3rd should be called "The Web of Spider-Man" just to y'know... follow the titles of the comics series. Plus "Web" could also relate to how interconnected some events in Pete's life are. I can see Spectacular Spidey being sorta like where he's fully "into" his new role as Spider-Man. He's enjoying it and people gradually turn to either love him or hate him.

New MJ sorta looks cute - but they're clearly mining Ultimate Spider-Man in some ways. Although instead of Gwen being the 'rebel' as she was in USM, she's the brainy one - like Ultimate MJ. But I did always sort of like the aspiring actress/model that classic MJ was - although honestly they need to get their minds out of Kirsten Dunst. Frankly Emma Stone would have made a far more vivacious Mary Jane. Not to mention she's normally a red head!

Buuuut we'll see. I'm looking forward to see where this whole movie series will go. At least Garfield has the right 'look' to be a college aged Peter Parker in the next couple of movies. While its annoying they had to redo the origin - at least it kind of ditched the 'dated' aspects of the origin. Like the "Science fair" concept where the bite just happend by 'accident' instead of him still getting bit by accident, but a far more sinister purpose - why DID Osborn have so many spider's like that. Could we see a rise of 'Spider-Men'? hmm

The ditching of the wrestler/entertainer thing. Might have worked in the 60s but in the 21st century and the fact that everyone has a camera on them at all times now - someone would have seen him unmask or posted video and such of him on youtube. Not to mention, I don't think any wrestling organization worth their salt would just let some guy off the street compete like that. That whole end came out of the variety show era.

I do like that they gave him web shooters - although it's unclear if the web fluid he uses is actually Osborn's formula for that 'high tensile fluid' or if he modified it slightly to give it a more 'web like' appearance or if that's simply a function of his web shooters. Which is still pretty 'Peter Parker-y' in that even if he didn't invent the web fluid, he still invented an ingenious delivery system in his bedroom.

I'm waiting for the Spider-tracers to show up and the Spider-signal belt buckle utility belt.

Although what I think would be marginally funny is if they somehow bring in Ms. Lion from the old cartoon as Aunt May's new dog and somehow do a 'thing' on the Aunt Anna Watson trying to set up Peter and MJ and Peter keeps on missing her.
