Those covers say it all...
October 28 2012 at 11:28 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplySo who is "Nakeder"? My first thought was that it looked like Wildcat, but I guess it could be Catwoman.
Also, below that and next to Starfire, is that "Oooooo" or "Nooooo" or something else? ;p
I thought it was Catman
October 10 2012 at 3:41 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYou think everybody’s Catman.
October 10 2012 at 12:09 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down"Nakeder" is Catwoman, since she spent a good part of her first issue in a state of undress. The character to the left of Starfire is no one in particular, since I knew they wouldn't be especially visible. So just imagine it's your favorite DCU character who's not pictured elsewhere. The label reads "Rebooted", but only the Os and the D ended up visible.
October 10 2012 at 8:17 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAh, thanks for the clarification!
Although, I will say "Rebooted" is a bit tainted with me at this moment; you see, I just bought the "Reboot" DVD CGI TV series so I kinda have that on my brain when I am seeing it. I am sorta thinking "BOB the Guardian" fitting in that pic. ;p (I know. It's "just me".)
This is great! Hahaha! Great stuff, man! This is so funny! What the New 52 thought was edgy, you made fun of it all. Which is true! DC was doing great with The Sinestro War, The Blackest Night and Brightest Day. I thought for sure DC was satisfied with what they have done ( Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Indentity Crisis, etc etc etc! ) with their universe. Then suddenly they came up with Flashpoint. Which led to this New 52 Nonsense.
October 09 2012 at 11:29 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHey the new 52 wasn't all bad. It allowed new stories which didn't rely so much on the past. Plus snyder's batman, john's aquaman and Robinson's Earth 2 and many more great stories were only allowed to exist because of the New 52. I started buying comics again because the new start allowed me to pick them up without having to know an extensive back story. So sure while some of the characterizations of the heroes aren't perfect and silly, as whole I think DC comics were better off for having done the new 52.

October 09 2012 at 11:19 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have to admit: Perhaps the nicest "Easter Egg" on that cover is the picture of the classic '70s JLA line-up in the upper-left corner. Brought a tear to my eye! (Yeah, I'm getting old!)
October 09 2012 at 4:58 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWell, I had those great Neal Adams headshots -- It just seemed a shame to let 'em go to waste! :)
October 09 2012 at 10:06 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI like how Allan Scott just has 'gay now' over his face, it was such a random move that made so sense! There are plenty of other superheroes that would have made much more sense, or they colud have at least made the Allan Scott reveal make sense. The whole new 52 just reeks of last minute ideas and poor planning! Some details even slipped past editors that just confuse the continuity! (see Batwoman...) ok, rant over :P

They put all their resourced behind their most recognizable intellectual property, but a side effect was that some of the second tier characters are getting less attention.
I’ve noticed it with Nightwing. Volume 2 was one of my favorite series, I’ve read most of it and I can’t remember when it was ever bad, other than when crossovers screwed it up. But since the reboot it just hasn’t been the same. Now on the other hand, Wonder Woman has been the shizz.
I think this particularly chafes the people that came up in the 90’s. They were all about second and third tier characters back then.
Hey if you look at the Earth 2 comic as a whole, it works. I like to think that they didn't make a big deal about the homosexuality of one its main characters (the comics, not the company's) as a stance that sexual orientation is not a big deal in general and not something that should determine whether or not you you like the character that a big prolonged reveal would have made it feel.
October 16 2012 at 11:28 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI was going to give you guys crap for being prudish DCoU dead-enders, but Trumbull’s excitement about the recognition is just too adorable to get worked up about it.
