But yeah, Havok's cowl/mask looks extremely goof, Scarlet Witch, while I'm glad she's not wearing something that looks like a corset, seems a little bland, and Rogue's costume is fine, not bad, but very "safe" for the character, and personally I preferred her most recent costume with the short sleeves, even if artists did tend to have it unzipped enough for gratuitous cleavage.
I might be in the minority, but I actually liked Wanda's gypsy look. I don't mind the new costume either. However, I can't stand Havok's look. There's no way you can make that silver age thing seem "practical". If they were going to go back to that, I think they should have gone all in and just did the Neal Adams 60's look and been unapologetic about it. "Yeah, I'm an old fashion superhero, what of it."

Rogue's outfit seems like her original minus the butch hair cut. Scarlet Witch's is well horrible and a trench coat really? Maybe a hooded cloak would of been better with some sort of design on the back to make it a protection cloak (yanno to help force the magic aspect most ignore of her). But 'eh what do I know. Maybe they are just easier for him to draw.

Hopefully, it it'll be a total commercial dud and there'll be much rolling of heads. Alonso, Quesada, Buckley, Bendis, we're looking at y'all.

I rather like SW and Rogue's costumes- just because Witchie isn't dressed as a belly dancer doesn't make it a bad outfit. I also like the idea that the Marvel U shouldn't exist as the "X-Men" half and the "Avengers" half that MarvelNow seeks to integrate.
What, specifically, do you not like about the costumes and/or the new direction? Or are you just bitter because it's slightly different?
I hated the belly dancer look but like the original one and how that has been somewhat tweaked. I'm personally just not a fan of putting all the women in giant trench coats (we can have practicality AND fan service, can we not?), but it is kinda along the lines of the X-Men:Evolution Wanda look.
Besides, no one can say it's more practical and totally ignore the utterly-useless-in-battle high heeled boots.
I'm not a fan of many of the redesigns (I HATE Cap's because it's far too busy and I can't tell him apart from the Ultimate's one, now) BUT I like seeing someone try something new to see if it does work.
I don't like Scarlet Witch's new costume because it looks too plain. Even Rogue gets stripes and a hood. It might get some spice in coloring, but right now, there's no piping, no design, no stylish collar, nothing really besides the headgear to make the character pop. That, and the tiara, on top of that coat is a little jarring. Maybe if they added a belt or a sash and changed the hem to reflect her tiara. Now THAT'S a costume.
Of course, this is moot, because you know she's wearing something tighter under that, and at some point, the coat is going to pop off and all the sweaty 20-year-olds will get their prescribed daily dose of boobies.
