
Launched late last week, the 2000 AD Apple Newsstand app contains a free 69-page comic sampler issue featuring Judge Dredd: Day of Chaos, Zombo, and Ichabod Azrael. From there, users can either buy single issues for $2.99 a pop or pay for one of three subscriptions of varying rates/durations. Subscribers also get access to an unspecified range of 2000 AD back issues at no extra cost. The current backlog of purchasable issues currently only extends back through December of 2011, however, keeping the app from serving as much of an archive at the moment. Like most digital services, it's probably just a matter of time until that changes.
