And people say this is better than Spectacular Spider-Man and think they mean it. *disapproving head shake*

If I remember rightly, Aerosmith or at least Joe Perry did that theme song, which is why they got a shout out in the Alien Costume saga episodes

"Yeah, this is most definitely the single worst theme song a super-hero cartoon has ever had."

Have you HEARD the alternate Fantastic Four (1994) one? With the reedy little electronic trumpets? Just... you cannot speak. YOU CANNOT SPEAK.

i still love this show.
maybe because the voice actors (neutral spanish) were in general really really good.

Spiderman: TAS is the show that taught me how to enjoy things ironically. Even as a kid I knew it was completely awful (and didn't even have the best goddamn theme song ever to redeem it, as with the X-Men cartoon), but I watched it religiously anyway. I did so mainly for the voice-acting, which was so hilariously bad it usually had the entire household howling with laughter.

This show was so much better, when I was young.

The last episode is pretty awful, ethically, too. He mets Stan Lee, and he's credited as the only creator of Spider-man.

Nah, it was merely a parallel universe where Stan Lee really was the only creator of Spider-Man.

I can't really in good conscience say this show was bad. I think it's more truthful to say that it hasn't aged well instead

Yeah, we're talking about an era that spawned Biker Mice From Mars, Ultraforce, and two different series of Sonic the Hedgehog. Spider-man was par for the course.

Sonic (the adventure one) aged a heck of a lot better than this though.
