Though most of the cast of The Avengers are franchise veterans with at least one preceding film under their belt (or in the case of new Bruce Banner/Hulk Mark Ruffalo, a prior movie for his character), actress Cobie Smulders is an all new addition to "Earth's Mightiest Movie" as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill. She's gotten a few seconds of screen time in previous Avengers trailers, but it's nice to see Hill kicking it solo in a few new stills that presumably take place on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. If you look closely at the displays Hill is monitoring, you can make out the schematics of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division's airborne base of operations, which had until now only been viewable in toy form via Hasbro's Avengers line.
