With Lego finally producing licensed brick sets and corresponding minifigures based on characters from Marvel and DC Comics, it might seem like the customizers could be undercut by official versions of their favorite superheroes and villains. On the contrary, it seems to simply be inspiring fans. Fan Jake Meier has even put a twist on customizing Lego comic characters by recreating characters from comics movies and more without altering or making new parts. Using his builds, collectors can skip painting or applying decals if they so choose, and beef up their arsenal of characters. Among Meier's custom configurations are Thor, Taskmaster, Professor X, Nick Fury, Ultimate Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, Fantomex, Dormammu, Arcade, Puck and Black Widow.
